Hessequa se kusdorpe spog hierdie jaar met drie volstatus blouvlagstrande (Lappiesbaai, Preekstoel en Witsand) en drie loodstatus (Gouritsmond, Jongensfontein en Stilbaai-Wes). Blouvlagstatus beteken dat strande skoon en veilig is en voldoen aan internasionale veiligheid- en toerismestandaarde. Die blouvlagseisoen sal vanaf 7 Desember 2017 tot 14 Januarie 2018 strek.

Hessequa Municipality attained a third place at the recent National Greenest Municipality Awards. This means that the municipality is the third greenest in South Africa and with that achievement will receive R2,5-million by means of projects and infrastructure as approved by the National Department of Environmental Affairs.

I hereby friendly request all tourists/holiday goers to adhere to the Stage 1 water restrictions during your stay in the municipal area. Did you know... Using a bucket of water to wash your car without a hosepipe, will save more than 300 litres with each wash.
